Wild Like Children
|Wild Like Children|
CD - USA - 1st edition.
Wild Like Children is the debut album of the indie band Tilly and the Wall released on 2004-06-29. The songs have a folk indie rock sound with a variety of instrument and vocal sounds. Most of the songs about about relationships and human interactions. The title comes from a lyric from the song, You and I Misbehaving.
I hadn't heard of the band when I saw them open for Rilo Kiley on 2004-10-02 with my friend Kimberly. I thought they looked pretty interesting, and I liked the unusual use of instruments, but, I was just so eager to see Rilo Kiley, that I didn't care much about their set. Later, while visiting Kimberly, she asked me what I thought of the album she was listening to, and I said it wasn't too bad, and she revealed it was the album of Tilly and the Wall, the band we saw earlier at the concert. This intrigued me enough to give them another chance, so I downloaded the album myself and, after listening to it a few times, it really grew on me, so I bought it. Although I never really followed the band after that, I would occasionally look for their latest music, and I always enjoyed it.
I own this album on CD.
The writing and composition of every song is credited to the band.
