Virtual Clone Drive settings menus.

Virtual Clone Drive is a free program developed by Elaborate Bytes that creates virtual drives in Windows which allows you to mount CD images which the OS will treat as an optical disc. The program supports up to 15 virtual drives, and can mount images in six different formats including: ISO, BIN, IMG, UDF, DVD, and CCD.

Review

Good

  • The program is simple to use and very effective at doing what it does. By allowing you to mount disc images, you don't need to bother with optical discs anymore. You can simply rip them to an ISO and mount them as needed.
  • You can't beat the price.
  • The program neatly replicates many of the features of pay software like Alcohol 120% and its adware equivalent, Alcohol 52%.
  • The program supports 18 different languages.

Bad

  • Nothing.

Ugly

  • Nothing.
