Type:Rider
Type:Rider is a 2-D platform puzzle game developed by Cosmografik Studio and published by BulkyPix for Windows in 2013, and later on various other platforms. You play as two dots of an ellipses trying to find the third dot at the end of each stage which requires careful maneuvering through the hazards and manipulation of various objects. As you progress, you learn about the history of typefaces and specific fonts. Each stage is tailored to the typeface it's describing.
I got the game as part of a Humble Indie Bundle, and, because I love typefaces so much, I made an effort to play the game.
Status
I own this game through Steam. I have beaten each stage and found all the asterisks and ampersands.

Good
- The marriage of education and entertainment is done quite well. You learn, but you don't get bored.
- The graphics are really quite beautiful and the background music is very fitting for each period.
- There are some really clever puzzles.
- The Comic Sans stage is hilariously obnoxious.
Bad
- It's a bit annoying when stages make it possible to miss a letter and prevent you from going back. You're forced to replay the entire stage to get it.
- As mentioned already, the Comic Sans stage is really obnoxious. I would have given up on it if it weren't so funny.
Ugly
- Nothing.
