The Velveteen Rabbit is a children's book by Margery Williams.
Personal
My mother read this book to me and my siblings as a bedtime story and I remember her crying through it. I hadn't seen the book in years, and I only vaguely remembered it. While looking for books at a used book shop, I found this book with a nice binding and bought it. I read it to my wife and could barely make it through, I was crying to badly!
