Something to Die For
Something to Die For is the fourth studio album by The Sounds, released on 2011-03-29 on CD. The album diverges from the group's earlier new wave sound and is mostly house and synthpop.
Personal
After loving the previous albums by The Sounds, I bought this album unheard the day it was released. However, after hearing a rather dramatic change in genre, I ended up not liking most of it. There are a couple songs that are decent, and The Best of Me, which retains their earlier new wave sound, is one of my favorite songs of all time, but the rest of the album just gets on my nerves.
Status
I own this album on CD.
Track Listing
All songs are sung by Maja Ivarsson and composed by Felix Rodriguez and Jesper Anderberg.
Media
I like the cover, and the jagged high-contrast shapes remind me of a High Capacity Color Barcode.
