Open Road Song is an alternative rock song by Eve 6 composed by Max Collins, Jon Siebels, and Tony Fagenson. It was first released as track 5 on the album Eve 6 on 1998-04-28, then released as a single in 1999. Two versions of the single exist, one as a promo album for radio stations which features an edited version, the album version, and radio callout hooks, the other has the edited mix with live versions of Leech and Showerhead. An acoustic version of this song was included on the Japanese release.

I wasn't a huge fan of this song the first time I heard it, but it quickly grew on me and became one of my favorites by the band, in particular because is describes a past time that I delighted in once I got a car: driving around at night with no place to go, and singing to myself. I even drove beaters, one with a broken off side-view mirror. I no longer drive old broken-down cars, but I still love this song, especially when driving alone, and feeling the need to clear my head with some speed.
I don't care much for the art on the single. It's not very fitting.
