Loose Girl: A Memoir of Promiscuity is the memoirs of author Kerry Cohen published in May 2008. From this book you realize that some of the encounters in her young adult novel Easy are based on events that happened in her life, though here they are more open and raw.

I saw this book displayed prominently on the shelf in the biography section of Barnes and Noble and the title and cover design enticed me to read a few pages, which enticed me further to buy it. I'm glad that I did, because it was a very eye-opening tale that made me re-think my priorities when it came to dating women.

Status

I own a first edition hardcover and have read it.

Review

Kerry Cohen discusses her life from childhood to adulthood focusing on sex; explaining why she had sex, why she wasn't always okay with it, and how vulnerable and hurt she felt because of it. I think this book should be required reading for every young man before they start having sex just so they can realize what sorts of pressures are put on women, and how much affect they will have on them.
