I don't know what the developers were thinking with this uninspired game. Probably something along the lines of, "Hey, what if we took away Kirby's ability to steal powers from the monsters he eats and then made the game only four levels long! Wouldn't that be great?" No. No, it did not make the game great. I was surprised when I beat the game in a single sitting. Sure, it's for kids, but kids deserve better. What was really going on in the developers head's was probably something more along the lines of, the higher-ups are demanding a new Kirby game with less ROM space and a terribly low budget, so let's slap something together really quick!
