Kakariko Village is an instrumental composed by Koji Kondo initially for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past which was first published on 1991-11-21. As the title suggests, the song is played in the village of Kakariko in the land of Hyrule. The song was rearranged for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in 1998 and given an upgrade in fidelity giving it a more rural sound. Themes from the song appear in later Zelda games as well.

Personal
When I first started player The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, I was very much blown away by the game, and, one of my favorite things to do in the game was hang out in Kakariko Village to hear the music. The slow tempo really gives the song an easy going feeling, and the warm strings in the background perfectly accompany the higher pitch strings in the melody. In addition to the song just sounding amazing, I loved how the game decreases the volume of the song when you enter a house, it really helps the song feel alive. This is, by far, my favorite song in the game. Although I do like the remake in Ocarina of Time, and appreciate the more realistic instruments, it doesn't have the warmth of the original.
