In the Garage is an emo alternative rock song by Weezer. It was recorded in the summer of 1993 and released as track 8 on the album the blue album on 1994-05-10. The song was written, composed, and sung by Rivers Cuomo. The song is pretty basic consisting of only two verses and a single chorus repeated four times.
The song is about being in solitude with your thoughts and hobbies while not having to worry about being judged or ridiculed by outsiders.

Personal
During my geeky introverted childhood, I fell in love with this song as I not only related to the desire to be left alone, but also shared an appreciation with some of the hobbies listed including Dungeons and Dragons and the X-Men, although I've never been a big fan of Kiss, and while I've always wanted to have musical talent, I do not.
In particular, I enjoy the harmonica opening that is repeated later on electric guitar, and the lyric, "I write these stupid words, and I love every one!" as well as the first sentence of the chorus, "In the garage, I feel safe, no one cares about my ways."
Lyrics
I've got a Dungeon Master's Guide I've got a 12-sided die I've got Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler too Waiting there for me Yes I do, I do I've got posters on the wall My favorite rock group Kiss I've got Ace Frehley I've got Peter Criss Waiting there for me Yes I do, I do In the garage, I feel safe No one cares about my ways In the garage where I belong No one hears me sing this song In the garage I've got an electric guitar I play my stupid songs I write these stupid words And I love every one Waiting there for me Yes I do, I do In the garage, I feel safe No one cares about my ways In the garage where I belong No one hears me sing this song In the garage, in the garage, yah! In the garage, I feel safe No one cares about my ways In the garage where I belong No one hears me sing this song In the garage, I feel safe No one laughs about my ways In the garage where I belong No one hears me No one hears me No one hears me No one hears me No one hears me sing this song
