Foundation and Empire is a political science fiction book written by Isaac Asimov and published in 1952 as the second book in the Foundation series.
Unlike the first book, this story focuses more on the interaction of individual characters than political maneuvering to defeat a more powerful opponent.

I read this book to continue the Foundation series, but I didn't like it nearly as much as the first, and it caused me to stop reading the series.

Good
- I like the ending, Asimov did a good job on it.
Bad
- In general, I found the book to be a little boring. There are several large events that happen, but the writing isn't very suspenseful or interesting.
- A lot of the writing is very dated for a futuristic settings. Everyone is a smoker, they used phrases like, "what's the big idea, doc?" etc.
Ugly
- Nothing
