Game

Times of Lore is another RPG created by Origin Systems, Inc. It was designed as an RPG for beginners so the designers removed all the complex aspects of experience, weapons and armor, combat and items, and basically all the fun stuff that we love about RPGs. The port to the NES was less than impressive, but considerably easier to play than the awful PC version. The graphics are quite sad, the controls leave much to be desired, and the ported music is average.

Music

Although much of the music is ported from Martin Galway's computer soundtrack, the game doesn't credits who ported the PC music to the NES or who created the new tracks exclusively for the NES. Like most music ported to the NES, there exists the usual amount of deterioration to the music, and several tracks are missing.

Ripping

Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.

Songs with an asterisk (*) by them are found in the DOS version of the game.
