Reviews
Game
Spy Hunter was quite popular in the arcade for awhile thanks to an actual steering wheel and the ability to shift into low and high gear. The game was ported over to the NES and it kept the bulk of its look and feel from the arcade. You get to use neat spy-like gadgets like oil slicks and smoke screens as you try to escape from the evil villainous vehicles. The trouble is that after the initial excitement wares off the game quickly becomes boring. The roads are repetitive, there are only a small variety of actual enemies, and there is no way to beat the game.
Music
The NES port isn't as good as the arcade version (which is expected). There is really only one music tune which was licensed from the TV series "Peter Gunn" and originally performed by the Henry Mancini Orchestra. Even on the NES's weak music hardware the tune is fairly long with some cool sounding solos. Also, because of its length, the song is only looped once. It is unknown who ported the music to the NES because the game doesn't have credits.
Ripping
Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
