Game

RoboCop for the Speccy had great critical acclaim during its time and was touted as one of the best games for the ZX Spectrum. All I can say is that this is insulting to other Spectrum games because the game is quite awful. The terrible player control and inability to jump is still here just like the other ports. The graphics are awful, the enemies are dull, and there is no end to the amount of frustration you'll get from playing this game--just playing long enough to get the screenshots made me mad at the designers. The only thing good I can say about the game is that it had nice digital speech, and quality music for 1988.

Music

The only reason why the game even has the right to exist is because it has a very good title theme for 1988. It starts a little slow, but eventually picks up and becomes something that is actually nice to listen to. This is much better than the beeps and pops that you would expect from such a low quality game. The other two tracks are acceptable, but nothing very special.

Ripping

Ripping ZX Spectrum music is beyond the scope of this site.
