Reviews
Game
The first Mega Man was a wonder to behold. It put the ball in motion for the hugely successful Mega Man franchise. The game had some unique elements that didn't translate into the latter games. It kept a score, it had enemies in the boss corridors, it had the difficult to use magnet beam. It also had some balance issues with difficulty. Example, the Yellow Devil is extremely difficult with exploiting a game bug, but Bombman can be defeated with a simple back and forth pattern. All-in-all the game is a lot of fun, very original, and the father to a whole slew of games.
Music
Mega Man's music is better than a lot of music from 1987. While certainly not to the standards of Mega Man II, Manami Matsumae and Yoshihiro Sakaguchi both did a great job on the music. Bombman's Stage, and the ending music (which would be heard again at the beginning of Mega Man 2) are really good. The titles of the music comes from the official Rockman album.
Ripping
Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
