Game

Elite Plus is an upgraded version of Elite. It features much improved MCGA graphics and a very small soundtrack that can be played through the Roland MT-32. Like Elite, you play as the pilot of a spaceship who navigates through several galaxies to buy and sell goods. The game is extremely open allowing you to become a pirate or an honest business man. Elite Plus also adds an extra galaxy for the player to explore.

Music

The only music in Elite Plus is two variations on The Blue Danube by Johann Strauss II. It's rather disappointing considering that so many areas of the game were upgraded, but music was still very primitive. The chosen classic music doesn't seem to fit the game either.

Ripping

The ripped music exists right in the installed path. The two type 0 MIDI files, ADBlue.mid and BluTest.mid are different versions of the same song. Each was recorded with a Roland MT-32 at 40% volume. All of the remaining tracks are concatenated in the RFX.mid file. They were ripped out, but are merely MIDI sound effects. The sound effects play better using the AdLib configuration of Elite Plus.
