Game
Dance Dance Revolution is the first of many dancing games in the DDR series. The game features a dancing pad with four arrows and you must step on them in accordance of the arrows on the screen which match music that is being played.
The North American release of Dance Dance Revolution is much like the Japanese version in game play; however, the North American release features different music than the Japanese version.
Music
Dance Dance Revolution has several quality songs created by some of Konami's in-house composers as well as licensed music from various mainstream composers. As the game's title suggest, the music is all themed as dance music. The Japanese and North American releases feature different music.
Ripping
The actual album soundtrack for Dance Dance Revolution was never released, however most of the songs from the first game were released on the DDR 2nd Mix soundtrack album except for JUMP and MONEY.
No rips have been made until the soundtrack leaves print and the game is over 10 years old.
