Game
Like most of the early games for the NES, City Connection was originally an arcade game that was ported over. In the game you play a driver who is going to several cities and painting their streets white to prove that you've been there. Various obstacles stand in your way like police officers, spikes, and of course cats. It's kind of like what would happen if your made Pac-Man a platformer. However, much like Pac-Man, the game gets dull rather quickly.
Music
Not much praise can be given to the music. It was still early on in the evolution of the NES, so the quality is weak. But also there is little creativity since most of the music from the game is pulled from public domain sources. The background music is primarily from Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1, specifically "Allegro non troppo e molto maestoso" and the music when you hit the cat is from an old nursery rhyme which in Japan is called "Neko Funjatta (I Stepped On the Cat)". The music was released on one of the second Famicom music album where the artist and titles were derived.
Ripping
Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
