Reviews
Game
After the destruction of Dracula it is found that some of his remaining body parts are still causing terror and evil in the land. You must find his remaining body parts and bring them together to destroy them. Much like the first Castlevania, Simon's Quest is a side-view platformer where you swing your whip to kill thousands of the Count's henchmen. However, unlike the first game, Simon's Quest is more of an action adventure that doesn't have a liner storyline. Although many fans that liked this style more, the bulk of the American market was annoyed by it (although the terrible translations making the game impossible without a hint guide couldn't have helped).
Music
Castlevania 2 has great music for it's time; especially the track Bloody Tears which anyone who played the game back in the day will remember. Several of Castlevania 2's tunes have been remixed in later Castlevania games. The composers did a good job of making the music eerie enough, but still giving it the strength that any action game needs.
Ripping
Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
