Game
Blood tries to separate itself from the other first-person shooters of the day by trying to become the most gory game of them all. You play Caleb, an resurrected gun-slinger who is out for revenge. Using weapons like a pitchfork, TNT, voodoo dolls, napalm launchers, and tommy guns, you get to blow the crap out of your enemies who die in a pile of gibs. The game also has a lot of clever speech to keep things witty and entertaining. Overall, the game is a competent first-person shooter, but nothing new as far as technology.
Music
The music is actually rather dull. There are only twelve tracks, which is smaller than many FPSs of the day, and the tracks are just ambient background mood music, nothing too special. The game was shipped with CD audio (which is not yet online), but it also had MIDI music that could be played without the CD.
Ripping
The type 1 MIDI music was ripped from the Sounds.rff file using Csabo's eXtendable Wad Editor and recoded with Winamp. The track order comes from the order the music is stored in the file.
