Sonic Mayhem is the alias used by Sascha Dikiciyan for his musical work in the videogame industry. Dikiciyan grew up playing piano & drums and has been a fan of videogame since the early 1980s. Dikiciyan was born in Germany, but in 1993, he moved to Los Angeles, California where he studied at the Musicians Institute and UCLA's School of Music.
In 1996 Dikiciyan wrote "Methods of Destruction," an audio add-on for Quake. This allowed him to be noticed by Quake's creator id Software, who recruited him to compose his industrial soundtrack for Quake II. Dikiciyan has been composing music for videogames ever since. In 2005, Sascha teamed up with Cris Velasco. The collaborated to fuse electronica and orchestral music and composed soundtracks for several games.
Dikiciyan also produces dance music under the pseudonym "Toksin". He has won several awards for his work..
