Matthias Steinwachs was born in Höxter, Germany in 1960. He studied music while living in Duisburg and Berlin and joined a few bands, but it never stuck. He tried classical singing as well, but eventually in 1990 found his way into videogame music where he has been working ever since. He has also a side project of composing jingles for radio ads that he's been working on for the past twenty years.
