Matt Uelmen was born January 1st, 1973 and grew up in Los Angeles, California, USA. He began taking classical piano lessons at the age of six, but didn't think to translate that to pop music until 13. Most of this college teaching was self-taught, including guitar and jazz piano. To make ends meet he played piano in a bar band for awhile.
Later Matt did some work in the console games field and finally landed a job with Blizzard as a sound engineer. He has worked on several games and has composed music for many of them. His influences include The Police, Prince, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, and Tom Waits.
