Jon Hare was born on January 20th, 1966 in Ilford, Essex, UK. He is a game designer, graphic artist, and musician.
In 1986 Jon Hare and Chris Yates founded Sensible Software which would become one of the most successful game development companies in the UK during the late 80's and early 90's. Along with being the co-designer and primary artist for several of the games Sensible Software produced, Hare also composed music for a few of their games.
In 1999 Sensible Software was sold to Codemasters, and Hare helped design games for them.
In 2004 Hare became a voting member of BAFTA and as of 2006 he has been a contributor of political segments for the UK videogame radio show One Life Left.
Currently, Hare is a member of the Commodore 64 rock band, SID80s.
