Jeehun Hwang

Jeehun Hwang was born in Korea and move around the world a lot as a child. In 1987 he moved to America with his family. Since he was a young boy he loved music and began playing complex piano pieces without any formal training. After some time of attending Stanford University for a political science degree, Hwang decided to put college on hold. He bought a guitar and a motorcycle and headed to Hollywood.
Once in Los Angeles he looked around for musicians to form a band, but to make ends meet he worked at Activision as a production assistant. Activision was developing MechWarrior 2, but they were having trouble finding the right music. Hwang sold his stuff to buy a keyboard and made a demo tape for them. They heard the tape and told him to go and write the rest of the music they needed. Luckily, the game became a hit and the music received high honors giving Hwang a good position at Activision.
Hwang composed music for several other games and eventually shifted from games to film. He created his own entertainment company called Doxon Entertainment and with his company, Hwang has scored several movies and television shows including "See Jane Run" and "The O.C.".
