Jakob Svanholm

Jakob Svanholm was born on May 2nd, 1979 in Sweden. His primary alias when composing music is Radix which is how most people know him. Having been brought up with an extended family of people involved in the music industry (his father taught him the basics of guitar) it was only a matter of time before Svanholm started composing his own. In 1990 he began connecting to BBSs where he spoke with people involved in the demoscene. He started by loading his Amiga with Soundtracker, but then found Protracker which he used primarily until 1996 when he got a PC with Fasttracker2.
Svanholm is a fan of Swedish house music and some of his favorite bands include Ozric Tentacles, Boards of Canada, Alexi Delano, Jesper Dahlback, Cari Lekebusch, Adam Beyer, Joel Mull.
Although Svanholm has had no formal music training he is held in high esteem by the demoscene.
