Hiroki Kikuta was born on August 29th, 1962 in Aichi prefecture, Japan. He is a game designer, musical composer, and artist. He graduated from the University of Kansai (Osaka) with a degree in philosophy.
From 1991 until 1998 he worked for Square Co., Inc. as a composer and manager. There, he worked on several projects including Romancing-Saga, Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetu 3, and Soukaigi.
After he left Square he setup a new game design studio called Sacnoth, with help from investor SNK. As CEO, he produced a the game Koudelka for the Playstation. Due to SNK's financial problems Scanoth was dissolved.
