Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy was born on February 3rd, 1809. He was a German composer, pianist, and conductor during the early Romantic period. His work includes symphonies, concerti, oratorios, piano and chamber music. During his life he changed his name to "Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy". Perhaps Mendelssohn's best composition is "Wedding March". Mendelssohn died on November 4th, 1847 at the age of 38.
