Willow is a truly fantastic movie filled with excitement, epic battles, sorcery, and enchantment. It was written by none other then George Lucas himself.
It's a tale about an evil emperess who is trying to take over the world and the only person who can stop her, is a baby less than a year old. As luck would
have it, the child is hidden away from the empress and found by the children of Willow. Willow is a simple farmer who gets stuck with returning the child to a human village.
Along the way he meets Madmartigan who is locked in a cage. Willow releases him and he takes the baby. Two pint sized brownies steal the baby from Madmartigan and take her
back to Willow, who is contacted by the Fairy Queen who tells him the true importance of the child. Now it's up to Willow to take the child to the evil emperess and destroy
her!
Willow has a great cast including, Val Kilmer as Madmartigan, Warwick Davis (The same actor who played the ewok Wicket in Star Wars) as Willow, and Joanne
Whalley as Sorcha. The other roles are filled with lively actors. I'm sure they know who they are.
Willow existed in more than just the movie format. A fairly good Nintendo game was made about it as well by Capcom and a computer game was made by Mindscape.
