Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote a series of children's books known as the Little House series. My mother used to read these books to my siblings and me as
bedtime stories. Like many people I've fallen in love with these books and have read and reread them many times. They tell the tale of what life was like for a late 1800's
frontier family through the wondering eyes of a young girl named Laura.
You learn an awful lot about our nation's history from these books including what songs were sung, how food was prepared, what toys kids played with, and
what dangers existed. The books are both exciting and informative. They are written easy enough for a child to read, but interesting enough for an adult.
