When I first began to get interested in the DragonLance series, I had no idea where to start reading because there are so many books. I learned that I could read the tales books without ruining the true series. So, several years later I've read most of the tales books and little else. So here is my shrine and personal reviews dedicated to the tales books.

Tales I, Vol. 1 - The Magic of Krynn

Riverwind and the Crystal Staff - Michael Williams

I have yet to read this story.

The Blood Sea Monster - Barbara Siegel and Scott Siegel

This is a rather gloomy tale written in first person perspective about a poor elf named Duder who lives in a small fishing village off the coast of the Blood Sea. While running from a baker after stealing some bread, Duder meets Six-Finger Fiske an old human fisherman. The fisherman is looking to catch the legendary Blood Sea Monster and allows the fame-seeking Duder to go along with him. I give this story a 2 out of 5 because although it has a great build up, the end is quite a let down.

A Stone's throw away - Roger E. Moore

Mood: - Light-hearted, with some serious situations.
Perspective: - Third Person
Main Characters: - Tasselhoff Burrfoot (Kender), An unnamed magus (Human)
Location: - The magus' citadel atop the bleakest peak in Krynn
Rating: 4/5. Certainly a humorous story, but just enough drama to make things exciting.

Dreams of Darkness, Dreams of Light - Waren B. Smith

Mood: - Serious
Perspective: - Third Person
Main Characters: -
Location: - Port Balifor
Rating: 3/5. A good story, but not too intense.
