Wonder Boy is a series of platform action games created by Westone and published by Sega across various console and arcade platforms. The hero is Tom Tom who is often on a dangerous quest to rescue his
girlfriend. The first game in the series has a caveman theme, while the sequels are given a Medieval theme. The series was rebranded for Nintendo as Adventure Island due to copyright issues.
