Before the days of VGA graphics you had to choose between low-resolution pixels or high-resolution vectors. The vector monitors didn't bother with clumsy pixels, and instead drew straight lines at any angle. The upside is that vector monitors drew beautiful lines compared to blocky raster displays, but the downside is that they could only draw lines. However, due to the low resolution of raster monitors of the day, many early games were only possible thanks to the high resolution of the vector display. Games like Asteroids, Battlezone, Tempest, and Star Wars were all initially vector games. So far the font Vector Battle is the only font in this series, but it fits many games nicely.

Vector Battle

Vector Battle matches the font used on the early Atari vector games like Asteroids and Battlezone. It also contains dingbats of graphics from those games. It was created by Freaky Fonts.
