The Mortal Kombat fighting game series did extremely well. This was not due to quality game play, because as fighting games go Mortal Kombat was lacking. The primary source of popularity came from
the extremely gory ways of killing each other and the copious amounts of blood and body parts. The first couple games in the series used basic pixelized raster fonts, but the later games, with their
higher resolutions, opted for cleaner vector styled fonts.

Individual Fonts
Mortal Kombat 1
The original Mortal Kombat used this interesting font and was converted to true type by MuRdOiNk.
Mortal Kombat 2
Mortal Kombat 2 used a slightly rounder font, again converted by MuRdOiNk.
Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat 3's font uses a vector font for a base instead of the raster styles from games 1 and 2. It was made by Bitstream.
Mortal Kombat 4
The 4 in the title of Mortal Kombat 4 comes from this font made by Midway.
Mortal Kombat 5
This spiky font is used in the game text of the GBA game Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition and Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. The artist is unknown.
Mortal Kombat Mythologies
This font is only used for the title of Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. Created by MuRdOiNk.
MuRdOiNk MKDA
This font is also used in the game Deadly Alliance. It's a nice broken font set created by MuRdOiNk.
