J.R.R. Tolkien

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was born in 1892 and died in 1973. He was an English scholar as well as a professor of Anglo-Saxon at the University of Oxford.

He created the world of Middle-earth which he used to write several impressive and influential fantasy novels including The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. He also has several works that he was never able to finish due to his death.

Tolkien was also college friends with C.S. Lewis another influential author.
