These exercises, if done properly, can train you to be that guy no one wants to face, because they already know they've lost.

1) Like the FAQ said, try excercises like dance, running, or my favorite DDR, on workout mode, and try to go farther and farther. These will keep you up and running, and will build up your stamina and running strength.

2) Have a friend take a regular training boffer and slowly, gradually getting fatser, try to hit you. This will eventually train you up to be able to dodge very well, and make you insanely hard to hit.

3) pushups. Yes pushups. Do them until you get really tired. Do this every morning, and it will build your arms up for speedy, strong attacks that will suck to be on the recieving end of.

Robert Mergendahl says make a one handed boffer sword that is much to heavy to actually use against someone. mark it really clearly that it isnt to be used against anyone. once you have a really heavy sword swing it as fast as you can and try to stop it infront of you swing from all diffrent angles and with each hand. this will build arm strength and endurance and builds speed with lighter weapons.since it isnt going to be used against anyone dont worry about the padding just get a good decent weight to it and make sure no one is near you. control your swings

Even though I use a sword and shield, it can be useful to duel with just one sword, in one hand. You know, like they did in the sixteenth century, almost like fencing? This builds up muscle strength in your wrist, allowing you to control your sword better when you have a shield too. This also helps you be more aggressive. Use your off hand too, if you will be playing with lost limbs. The idea with the heavier sword also works very well. I use a two handed sword in one hand.
