Bows
Making bows is very simple because you don't have to make them! They can be bought at most sporting goods stores around the world. What you're looking for is a conventional bow (not a compound bow) that has a draw between 15-30 pounds. The less draw, the less it will hurt when you get hit, but it also won't shoot an arrow as far.

You may want to pad the tips of the bow with foam so they don't poke people. Bows are not to be used as weapons!
