Richard Garriott Richard Allen Garriott (AKA Lord British) was born on July 4, 1961. He is the creator of the Ultima computer game series as well as one of the founders of Origin Systems, Inc.. He has an older brother named Robert Garriott. His father is Owen Garriott. In 2001, Richard Garriott left Origin Systems because he didn't like the way Electronic Arts was running the company. He founded his own company called Destination Games along with Robert Garriott and co-worker from Origin, Starr Long.
